Six decades of growth

Each chapter of our story marks a step in serving the Kingdom’s healthcare industry with greater reach and reliability.

  1. 1956

    Established in Jeddah in 1956, the company known today as Al Kamal Import Office starts out as a small drug store.

  2. 1959–1969

    Conditions are ripe for establishing a distribution company. Partnerships with international companies are established and quickly gain momentum.

  3. 1969–1979

    The local drug market expands rapidly, and new branches are established all over the Kingdom.

  4. 1979–1999

    A period of growth in Saudi market demand, with expansion into new healthcare sectors including diagnostics and medical devices.

  5. 2010–2020

    A period of consolidation in the Saudi market. Al Kamal capitalised on its investment in physical and software infrastructure to respond to the market’s changing dynamics.

What began as a single drug store in 1956 has grown into a 360° healthcare distributor serving the entire Kingdom.

Over more than sixty years, Al Kamal Import Office has grown from a modest Jeddah drug store into one of Saudi Arabia’s leading healthcare distribution companies. Lasting partnerships with international manufacturers and a steady expansion of branches across the Kingdom shaped each stage of that journey.

Today that heritage underpins a modern logistics operation — six temperature-monitored facilities, the largest warehouse in Jeddah, and a commitment to keeping pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics moving safely to where they are needed most.
